Heard the commentators say Salah has been voted player of the season by journalists. What a joke, he has done squat for 4 months. Completely disarmed by Sess today.

To be fair, PEH hit the post from an edge of the box shot so to say he has no confidence to go for goal is a bit amnesic.

If he'd gone for goal and Allison caught it would you be saying that was poor and selfish, he should have knocked it across for H?
Nah, you have to go for goal from there. If he saves it he saves it.
Yeah he did shoot.
But you have to remember I've been drinking and was fkin annoyed so .....

Three out of their last four? No it just needs to be two. Regardless if they win tomorrow, we can be above them before their game v Newcastle if we beat them and Burnley. That puts the pressure right back on them.
We need to win our last three games and we will get top 4 if they drop points in one more game besides losing the NLD. This would have been true if we've lost today as well, hence the only way that this point could be valuable (except for mentality reason ahead of NLD) is that Arsenal drop points in 3/4 games.

If ever the celebrations our scorers receive could be projected on to our defenders, then today the crowd would have gone crazy for our defensive back 3.
Dier, Romero and Davies.

I thought they were imperious.

Fact is, most of us are disappointed we didn't get all 3 points. They didn't really trouble us in spite of all the pressure. They hit the bar and we hit the post. Their goal had a huge deflection, ours was clean as a whistle and we could have nicked it at the end. One big positive is no big problems with cards as I was quite expecting a red from somewhere. All in all, a pretty good performance which should do confidence a power of good, but we have to build on it now and not think we can cruise any games.

I refuse to be disappointed by a draw at Anfield. Not happening. There have been 3-4 other games in the last however many weeks going back to just before the Leeds game where any disappointment should lie. We can still do this, I have faith that Leeds/Newcastle/Everton is not an easy trio of fixtures.

Good result but so gutting that we have such bad luck (their goal on this occasion) and always seem to miss a key chance to win this fixture.
Should give us a boost going into the NLD though and we've finished 5th regardless which is good for another transitional season.
8 points off City and Liverpool is a huge step forward, need to take more off the other fixtures next season. I can't wait for next season with Conte from the start.

No. Arsenal only need to drop points in 2 of 4 (with one of those being a loss in the NLD). This would have been true whether we drew or lost today. We can now get 9 more points, they can get 12. We need to win the NLD and our 2 other games and hope that they drop points in 1 other game. If we win 3 we will have 9 more points, if they win 2, lose to us and draw 1 they will have 7 more points. We will then finish on the same points and we would be 4th on goal difference.

4th won't be key.

It'll be what Levy and FP do for Conte in the first few weeks of summer.

Twist Conte's arm and Kane stays
Agreed. On Kane, City are getting Haaland so they’re out. Liverpool won’t sign him. So if Conte stays what option is there for him that’s obviously an upgrade on us? Assuming he doesn’t want to go abroad, there isn’t one. United still have pull because of the name, but they’re a mess at the moment and I’d wager Kane would rather take his chances with Spurs and Conte, and become our all time top goalscorer in the process.

Don’t agree. Allison instinctively took a step to his right.
Because the header was telegraphed by PEHs body shape. But even if he went for the header it was not an easy chance as he was running backwards

Absolutely correct, my point is that all of the above would have been true also if we would have lost today. Hence, what would normally be a really good result at Anfield is at this stage of the season to little use in the table.

The chance that we should have put away wasn't the PEH header, it was the Emerson cross to Sessegnon who hammered it at Son who couldn't control it. If he plays that pass in to Son instead that's 2-0 and game over

Are we the only team to take a point there all season?

8 points off them and city. Not a bad return.

Wish we could have held on but I'm not too disappointed, there were a lot of positives

Importance of no red cards and no new injuries (that we know of) should not be underestimated.

I think Brighton did? Unless I'm thinking of last season.

Edit: Brighton drew 2-2 at Anfield after being 2-0 down.

Chelsea 1-1

City 2-2

Brighton 2-2

Ironically they also drew at Chelsea, City, and us.

It gives us a couple more scenarios that could help to jump over arsenal than a loss would have. For example we win the NLD and arsenal draw their other 3 we would only a need a draw and better goal difference (66 points). Or arsenal win 1 , lose 2 including the nld and draw 1, we win the nld and draw the other 2 (67 points). We draw the nld and arsenal lose 2 of their other 3 and win 1, we draw 1 and win 1 of the other 2 (67 points). Or arsenal flip the goal difference but we get 1 point ahead of them still. It just gives us more ways to finish 4th having that extra point. The goal difference could be key too as those level points really depend on it. By not losing we also keep that goal difference intact which could prove important.

Great performance from everyone today!!! The point could be valuable if we beat arse and they lose 1 other game, it would mean we can afford a draw in one of our other games.
