All in all quite happy with the result.
  1. Captain Howler Hugo, once again kept up his erratic performances and increased his Individual errors leading to goals to 6 for the season
  2. Lenglet showed his true colours today with his worst cameo
  3. And Dr Tottenham gave the hangover medication to City. City can now chase down Arsenal for the title
Yeah we did score 2 goals in first half. Atleast we were entertained for 45 minutes.

Meh. Who cares. We're a dusted club.
I half held onto my word from Sunday.
I said I was done.

I missed the first half, actually went to the park with my dog, and came back just as the first goal went in. Didnt celebrate, just raised my eyebrows and then laughed at the second.

Maybe I was expecting a collapse. But I wasnt really getting excited.

I am only half engaged now. And that changes when;
- Levy is gone.
- Dier, Lloris, Hojbjerg, Davies, Emerson are no longer anywhere close to starters or have long gone.

Sadly, I think Kane will be gone before a lot of these and itll likely prolong the wait.

This isnt me being a glory boy, just simply fed up of this regime and mismanagement. Its boring, its going nowhere other than downward.

Rip everything out other than Bentancur, Deki, Romero, Udogie, Sarr and have a sense of direction.

Otherwise im out.

top managers make uncomfortable decisions , lloris and Son need to be taken out the team , our left hand side if getting battered every week. So many weak minded players who have overstayed their welcome . 2 up against a city team that weren’t playing well , had been booed off and lose 4-2 , it’s just pathetic . Aside from Romero I wouldn’t want any other defender to be a starter for us next season .

Its hard isn't it? Its always there in front of you .. glory, just outta reach. You think this it, we are there and pooof its gone in a second. Supporting one of the worlds richest clubs shouldn't be like this. Its a bloody tragedy what those that follow Spurs are put thru, the perennial fall guys, forever maligned by rivals and the media like a joke. We love doing the underdog thing but... we are Tottenham Hotspur, we shouldn't be underdogs we are one of the biggest clubs in the world. This shit shouldn't be happening with the consistent rate it does. Failure after failure, even with serial winners placed in the hot seat. I really hope this QSI rumour turns into something substantial because if it don't we really could become just a giant of the past century like Wolves, Preston etc. Levy is treading water while the big clubs pull further away and the Palaces Brighton's and Fulham's close the gap. We've been top 5 for 50 years but I really feel that is under threat more than its ever been.

Easy in hindsight to say that Conte should have moved to 3 in midfield but the plan was working and once again an error leads to a downhill slope.

Can you imagine Arsenal or United being 2 nil up at HT tonight? They'd have seen it through because they dont have errors running through the team.

Blame Conte all you want but the lack of investment in defence has killed us.

1. No succession plan for Lloris, we've just signed free back up GKs which hasnt even worked. A serious club would have had Lloris' succesor in 2 years ago. Hes 37 ffs.

2. Only one major CB signed in 6 years. This is criminal.

3. Vertongen and Toby regressed due to age but were never really replaced. Yes Sanchez was supposed to be the continuation but when he was moved up to starter, we should have had a replacement (another young HIGH potential CB like Saliba). Not only that but weve known for 3 years now Sanchez hasn't been up to it.

4. Plugging gaps with Lenglet. It doesn't give you assurance cause he wont be around permanently and isn't your main choice. It just screams "we may get away with this" rather than "here is our new CB who we build around".

Total amateur from top to bottom for 6 years. It should lead to sackings across the board.

I agree with the majority of that but Hugo was 35 less than a month ago. He's just turned 36.

I just don't know what else to say tbh.

Will start with the positives.....

- Romero is a very good defender and the only player good enough defensively moving forward if we want to actually achieve something.

- Bentancur was very good and it's fantastic to have him back.

- Kulusevski caused them plenty of problems and again is finding some form again following his injury.

Now the negatives....

- Lloris as we already knew is gone, but Forster is hardly an upgrade so we are fucked for the rest of the season.

- Every other defender we have just aren't good enough. They just create constant panic and I cannot believe just how many defensive errors there are every single fucking game. Let's hope there is something in this takeover/investment because we need a new RB and two new CBs at the very least.

- Son I'm afraid is gone, it's extremely sad but I just don't see how he turns this around. He needs to be dropped for Richarlison.

It's an extremely sad time to support Spurs right now. Our neighbours are flying and we are self-imploding. Please please please let this takeover/investment happen. Just bloody pay Gvardiols release clause and get Porro/Zaniolo in. We are now almost 2/3 of the way through the month with no incomings and no outgoings. It's a sad state of affairs to feel done with the PL in January after only 20 games but unless something significant happens very soon, I fear it's going to be a very toxic few months at the club.
Mate, are those the only negatives? ?

This incredibly dull system we have relies on Son and Kane being on it. When they are not -as for most of this season - we are dogshit. Add a past-it keeper who could never distribute effectively and you get to where we are.

This match has epitomised our capitulation in the league. First 10 games 3rd with 23 points. Now 20 games in 5th and falling with 33 points. It’s been long overdue, we rode our luck at the backend of last season with only playing once a week and the intensity of the PL, WC & CL over the past 5 months has highlighted our ageing squad with Harry Kane doing his upmost.

I wouldn't argue with much of that really sadly we've still got a lot to do but I'm holding onto the positive that realistically we've met the top two teams just when we're all at rock bottom in confidence and hope so hopefully we can handle lesser clubs better with our best team back out now.

Ah ok, i think i must have been thinking ahead and that next year he'll be 37 so 100% needed replacing.

But still my point stands.

At 34 a replacement should have been in. Not a plaster

Our cat just threw up on the bedroom carpet. That was probably her reaction to this game.

And quite honestly I had more fun cleaning it up than I did watching that 2nd half.

I’d add PEH as soon as the panic sets in he amplifies it.
Yep - epitomised by him bellowing at someone else for switching off and then proceeding to give a shocking pass from the centre of his own 18 yard box putting us bang in trouble.
