The game was not riveting or entertaining but a professional job to get back to winning ways.

Another three points and back up to second

My only disappointment is Dele's performance which like against Wolves was not up to his standards (I am being kind)

My chosen MOTM will be one of Eriksen, Sissoko and Toby, will decide later

Eriksen not even close - should really have scored 3 or 5 more if our attackers would put some of his amazing passes in the net.

Sissoko was also good, the rest don’t stand out other than Trippier for still being shit even when we’re winning 3-0. KWP must be so disappointed.

Sissoko was everywhere. Literally.

There was one point where I thought he was going to ask Hugo for the gloves for a bit.

Sissoko for me. Was absolutely everywhere and still running at speed at the end of the match. Shame he didn't get a goal.

On a negative note, thought Trippier and Dele were poor today.

I must've watched a different game if you thought Shitoko was any good ! He back passed, lost the ball or passed to a marked player as in 'get rid' . The 'shot on goal' rugby conversion. Wouldn't want to rely on him to score. But rightly Alli had a bad game.

We're gonna miss the goals from the most underrated player in the PL in next couple of months i know that !!

Insulting nicknames for our own players is the lowest of the low.

Yes, he can't shoot. It's actually baffling that a professional footballer, playing his best ever football (at least for Spurs) and full of confidence still shoots worse than an under 13. But that was the only thing he didn't do well today.

Sissoko is in his peak Sissoko mode tonight. Dominate the midfield, assisting an assist again, and played one sublime pass to rose. But his passing (even by his standard) was disappointing today. And, don't blame him if he chooses not to shoot. He is just not that type of player.

It is hard to pick out one single player. Indeed it is a collective effort and Poch's work. Maybe Eriksen should get the MOTM. But it is close.

Wow.

I feel bad knowing there are Spurs fans who know and understand the game of football so badly.

Luckily Poch is our manager and not you(y)

Hard to rate games like this because the gulf in class was so evident and that, combined with some luck and atrocious defending from the oppositions, means we won comfortably without having to play that well. That said, we still had to be professional, controlled and intelligent, there was also an element of making the opposition look worse than they are, so I can only be pleased with how the evening went. 74% possession in any match under any circumstances is ridiculous, and only some profligacy spared Cardiff from a real hammering.

Lloris had next to nothing to do, claimed any crosses with authority and distributed well enough.

Trippier put in the one half decent cross which led to Kane's goal and was involved in some nice passing moves, but defensively I always felt that if Cardiff were going to hurt us it would be with one of their forays in behind him.

Sanchez played well, distributed the ball out nicely and used his pace well to mop up anything in behind.

Alderweireld made the aerial battle look simple, passed the ball out well and played sweeper on occasion to snuff out any half chances.

Rose played well. Cardiff clearly targeted him with long balls to Patterson but he stood his ground. Carried the ball forward well too, though without end product.

Sissoko broke forward well on numerous occasions and played a key involvement in both the second and third goals with slick, intelligent passes. Shame about his hoof over the bar when Kane put him through.

Winks kept it simple on the whole, receiving and passing wherever the ball was on the pitch. What I found impressive, though, was that he was always in space, always available to receive the ball wherever play was on the pitch.

Eriksen was a pleasure to watch. Skilfully taken goal aside, his probing passes, raking through balls from deep and ability to vary play were a joy to watch from start to finish.

Dele off the ball did all the right things, working hard out of possession and making great runs when we were in possession, but his touch (one superb moment) and decision making let him down often and resulted in good opportunities going to waste. Seemed unhappy with himself when coming off.

Son played well, his running the channels and directness kept Cardiff on the ball foot, he linked play well and he took his goal with aplomb after Kane's through ball.

Kane scored a lucky goal, but it was deserved luck after his brilliance in catapulting us forward with a great turn, drive forward and pass before finding himself in the area moments later. He also played a beautiful pass round the corner to Sissoko in the build up to Eriksen's goal, while it was his lovely pass which put Son through for our third. He also gave Sissoko and Son great opportunities which they wasted, and lacked a finish himself on a couple of occasions. He didn't have to be at full throttle yet still dictated the outcome of the match, so he gets my vote of man of the match.

Skipp and Llorente had little time to impact proceedings.

I went Sissoko for pushing us forward and setting up two of the first three goals.

Also for that Dembele impression second half - magnificent.

Eriksen was great but he was allowed to be because of Sissoko's control in the midfield.

Dele's touch and passing was off but I thought he grew into the game. I find it odd that people see a player struggling for touch but going again again and doing the team stuff and moan that they are "shit". Dele was NOT "shit" today. I actually thought it was a grown up performance by someone baffled that their touch and silk has deserted them but not getting petulant about it.

Also Trippier was fine. People are finding fault where it doesn't exist. You were wrong about Sissoko and you're wrong here. Try supporting for a change rather than knee-jerking hate at a first team player.

Alli started woefully but improved in the second half.

Tripper defensively still looks poor.

Apart from that it was a professional performance.

Hopefully we can get some injured players back and rest up for United.

Absolutely pathetic post .

What do we all think of Kane’s performance ? I can’t help but think if the World Cup
Hadn’t been on he would have had another 5-10 goals this season
