Calm the fuck down....we lost, 2nd Half we were poor we looked spent... But can some on here stop getting their balls in an uproar with OTT stupid comments.,we have been on an amazing run in the cups and league, this was always gonna happen....
I agree. We’ve been on an amazing run but with injuries, a brutal schedule and a lack of depth in the squad we couldn’t hope to maintain that run. Also think some may have got carried away with title talk.

Hate seeing fatigue or lack of rotational options being blamed. Liverpool have made one change and are flying and absolutely battering arsenal right now.
Maybe the scum are fatigued

We are not title contenders stop getting sucked in by the media... Defeats like today will happen we arent Barca... Lets get top 4. Thatz still an achievement until we move into our new stadium and then hopefully we will kick on

Never said we were a title contender. Blaming today on tiredness or lack of rotation options is a cop out, we were simply rubbish compared to what we are capable of i.e the previous two games.

Lloris - 0 we need to look at potentially replacing him now sadly wouldn’t mind us trying to get pau Lopez

Trippier 0 - also provably time for him to go

Sanchez 5 - solid

Toby 5 - solid

Davies 0 - another one that’s just not suited to our system

Dele 2 - just didn’t do anything really just off the pace

Eriksen 3 - off the pace poor with and without the ball

Son 3 - tried but just not as fresh as usual

Winks first half 8 when there was 0 pressure and the game was easy second half 0 soon as wolves put the pressure in he went missing.

Kane 3 - great goal but apart from that he was embarrassing chasing the ref around throwing himself to the floor to win fouls infact it was almost arsenal level of shithousery from him

Moura - the Brazilian Theo Walcott

Jumping the gun, much?

It’s amazing what one result can do to this fan base - and I know it’s the fickle nature of football but come off it.

5s for everyone today. 6 for Kane. Not great. Cardiff next.

We weren't good against Bournemouth IMO. We took our chances and they didn't... Generally the play was just ok

We need Lamela in this game , our team except Sisoko n Lloris are all pussies, Llorente could help bully their defence too

And Trippier was really horrible, he contributesnothing in attack, absolutely nothing, just backpasses and more backpasses, stop thinkin and cross the fucking, just do it

I agree. There is losing and there is losing. I see where we have lost in the past but couldn't fault our players' efforts. Today? We might have lost but I hated the way we did

Can I give a special round of applause to a horrible home atmosphere even at 1-0 up? I get that fans reflect what’s on the pitch but it’s a two way street and sometimes they need us. We weren’t there today.

Wasn’t going to go today but got a ticket yesterday and sorry I did go. Not because we lost or played so badly but as most if this season I was surrounded with tourists and supporters of other teams, including Wolves, helping to produce an non atmosphere. Poch from his comments clearly misses the fortress that was WHL in our last season at home and boy so do I!!

I personally don't think it's just down to fatigue.

It's a number of things and fatigue may play it's part. As will size of squad and the lack of depth. I also think we slightly underestimated Wolves (tons of fans did). Being at Wembley which is shit for everyone.

Anyways, let's bounce back and get into the top 4. A cup final appearance and a few signings next summer and we'll be up there again.

Rome wasn't built in a day. Having said that you can't wait for ever Mr Levy.

Gone for Toby but could have been Lane and Sanchez was OK. Nearly said no one deserved MOTM but that’s a little harsh. The guys were trying but the spark was just not there today. In previous games many of us have praised the team effort and it was a team loss today. Just have to suck it up.

Will be surprised if we don’t get back to winning ways on New Years Day. One thing this team has is resilience or as the Americans would say bouncebackability

I blame Poch as well. Lack of any change to tactics or man management, considering the players are tired etc. Wolves changed their strategy and as usual Poch just sat there looking on like a hound dog. An example was he could have brought on Foyth and Rose and gone to a back five, therefore cancelling out Costa's effectiveness who came on for them as a sub and did the damage. Skipp was also fresh and would have done a sight better than Eriksen. As I said before he doesnt react when things are not going to plan and would rather trust the usual suspects, not realising its not working on this occasion and was running them to the ground

Trippier should be fined after that performance today, was as bad as the one against Wolves away that nearly cost us, today he did cost us!

We lost, it was coming, we were riding sooooo high it only made the fall that harder to swallow and accept.....guess what guys..... we're playing again on New Year's day..... At Cardiff!

Some other "shock" results:

Cardiff win for the first time away from home!
Fulham win at home....and keep a clean sheet.

MotM.....was there one?
Ok, I'll nominate, Harry Kane....for the goal, and I like the cut of his jib.

Frustrating to get ourselves into a really good position in the league to then throw it away. I think we were slightly arrogant against Wolves and paid the price.

Can’t be bothered to do full ratings just post some thoughts.

1. We need a defensive minded midfielder. Winks and Sissoko cannot do that role nor should they. Winks I thought was excellent first half and controlled the game, but he got overrun in the second half and he does not have bite in his game nor a defensive mindset. Sissoko is always full of running but is more about going forwards. I hasten to add that our great run has been without Dier. He is not the answer at all but Wanayama could be. We need a breaker who can quickly distribute - Dier is not this person. Skipp possibly could have been introduced today to help,

2. Trippier looked dopey after his head collision. Should have come off as he was awful thereafter. Davies is not able to give us any threat going forward so we had no way of stretching Wolves.

3. Poch did not show any enthusiasm today. Sat on his chair and made 1 sub - and not to beef up the midfield but to play Moura through the middle....very odd.

4. Son, Alli and Eriksen all had fairly poor games. If no one turns up in that trio we are always going to struggle.

5. Wolves were fully deserving of the win. We showed nothing in the second half, did not respond to the change in Wolves and made no tactical changes/subs to react. Garbage display which is so disappointing based on how we have performed over the last number of games.

We had a chance to put a bit of pressure on Liverpool and fell short. We will still do well this season and this is probably a little blip after a very heavy schedule but it feels like we had a real shot.

I take full responsibility as it’s the first PL game I’ve managed to get to with my son this season - fucking typical.

It felt like we were treating the match like a training exercise, so much backwards and sideways passing with zero urgency or tempo about our play. It did feel like the Wolves goals were inevitable, we just had no game at all second half. So many poor performances today as has already been said, fullbacks, Winks, Eriksen, Dele very poor.

It’s the hope that kills you - let’s hope we stuff Cardiff on Tuesday, Tranmere (with the ressies) on friday and go all out to smash the Chavs on the 7th COYFS
