One to forget.

Our FBs were dreadful, Son, Alli and Kane decided not to pass to anyone, Sissoko and Winks turned into blended sprouts in the second half, Eriksen ran on fumes and Lloris continued to palm feeble shots into his net.

That pretty much covers it.

Hate seeing fatigue or lack of rotational options being blamed. Liverpool have made one change and are flying and absolutely battering arsenal right now.

Jumping the gun, much?

It’s amazing what one result can do to this fan base - and I know it’s the fickle nature of football but come off it.

5s for everyone today. 6 for Kane. Not great. Cardiff next.

While I agree 0s are a bit over the top, if we wanna be seen as contenders these are the kind of pressure games we need to be put to bed early. This is precisely the game that has given us the legends tag and to be honest it’s hard to argue against it, we had an opertunity to really turn the screw somewhat, instead we come out with a weak waisted performances.

It happens, sadly
and it sure happened sadly today.
Hard to rate
game of two halves
One OK.The other hapless.

5's for everyone
except centre halves 6+'s
and midfield 6's
and full backs 4's.
HK +1 for the goal.
So overall thats 5 for
LLoris, Dele and Son.
Dele and Son hardly smiled once
except for the goal
very telling

Changes of personnel and tactics
too little, too late.
Poch as raddled as the team.
We knew the script here
but were under-rehearsed.
.
In the long run it makes little difference
It was always going to be third.

Wolves deserved the win fair due to them they were pretty brilliant in the way they managed us, also really like thier manager. I am disappointed we couldn’t respond at 1-1 and fell away pretty badly our full backs are a major concern especially Trippier defensively shocking not at all happy with Lloris’s attempts too thought he could’ve done better but still a top keeper. Anyway we move on hopefully we go on another meaningful run there’s still a lot to play for

Kane for his goal, otherwise our attack failed miserably 1st half, making poor choice after poor choice when it counted most, particularly Son. The amount of chances they had the game should have been over or at least 3-3 if you count the shower of shit they all were 2nd half.

And Poch please use subs other than to give players a rest when we are winning well, we need subs the most when things aren't going to plan.

Well beaten☹️ Forced an underdone Dele back into it while both Tripps and Davies were poor. Eriksen had to do too much of the donkey work. This makes it harder but five of the top six have all dropped points this month so just need to get up and go again. Painful but not season ending.
Lloris 5.5 Expect more from a skipper when the tide starts to turn....beaten low again
Trippier 5 Got a bit of Kyle Walker hesitation about him today...delaying crosses
Sanchez 5.5 Rusty
Toby 6 Fair overall but would like him to bollock when necessary
Davies 5 Very limited...struggled with Traore like all once he was in motion
Winks 6.5 Steady game but young Skipp needed to be with him last 30 minutes
Sissoko 6 Looked a bit tired but did a basic job
Eriksen 6.5 Forced to do too much of the donkey work today which is a waste
Delle 4 Underdone....back a game too early, could have come off at h/t
Son 6 Disappeared late on having been the only player to run at them
Kane 6 Lovely finish but out of it too much of the match
Moura 5 Poor no impact

Poch 5 Gambled on Dele....subs needed to be on the hour

For as bad as we were I think the simple fact is if Gazzaniga was in goal instead of Lloris we don’t concede at least the first 2 goals. Recent wins have covered over similar Lloris mistakes such as Everton’s second goal.

Recent form also covered up a failure to refresh the squad in the summer. A lot of games in a short period shows the cost of that “strategy”.

Spurs is Spurs. We never fail to disappoint ourselves when things matter.
Sissoko Winks and Eriksen were knackered but we had no choice on the bench.
Davies was just enough as a squad player. Can deputise the cb role if needed.
Trippier should be out of the club ASAP. Can’t beat anyone, can’t defend, loads of lethal mispasses.hes just awful.

Lloris - 4
Trippier - 1.5 (only because a 0 after head collision chops his 3 beforehand in half)
Toby - 5
Sanchez - 5
Davies - 3
Sissoko - 4
Winks - 5
Eriksen - 3
Dele - 4
Son - 2
Kane - 6

Lucas - 3

Poch - 0. Again he is clueless when it comes to substitutions. All 2nd half they were all over us. We had a pleothera of options on the bench to counter it. Could have swapped the full backs to ones of much better quality which definitely would have helped some. Could have went back 3 with Foyth.. Could have went 433 with Skipp. Instead the only sub he chose to make was to make us even more open and did it 10 minutes before he normally makes his subs. Just terrible. And he needs to have Trippier sold from under him because he refuses to do what is needed and drop him. I’d take even 5 poor performances. But when you cant put in a good performance for 4 months and keep shipping chances, you have got be dropped for good.

We have won 8 out of 9. Do you mean we have to win every game? without those wins we wouldn't have been in 2nd to start with.
Didn't those games matter?
Don't fall into the trap of the media that we are serious title contenders, they are the same mugs that will take the piss now we have lost one game.
We don't have the squad to win the league, we don't have the stadium to give us that lift either..... Enjoy what a great season we are having and try not to believe all the hype.... We are doing fine thanks

Winks made so many errors during that game including being easily pushed off the ball for the 2nd goal, how does he score so high? fucking homers..

Because he hasn't made the list of scapegoat candidates yet. Give it time and I'm sure he will do though.

We're like the England cricket team of the 1980's......You get to be a better player by not being picked :D

Of course they didn't matter, we won those :D

It's a bit like this "teams that fight for titles find a way" horseshit. Which comes just a few days after City lost at home to Palace. You really couldn't make it up. I think sometimes people just say the first things that come onto their heads when they are disappointed which is one thing but when they come back and fight to justify it, you realise what damage E numbers in food actually does.

''This is the way the world* ends
This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
Not with a bang but a whimper. ''

From a poem appropriately called
'The Hollow Men' by TS Eliot (1925)
* he means year

Not as far as I know
a Spurs fan
but accurately predicts
the turn of the year 2018
.
If you are not a subscriber
to Poetry Corner
please do not read.

The Hollow Men seems to follow
the otherworldly journey of the spiritually dead.
These “hollow men” have the realization, humility and acknowledgement
of their guilt and their status
as broken, lost souls. (from wikipedia)

Sounds about right
