Kulu will start..?
Bentacur won't.?
Hopefully more later.

That really fucks us. We don't really have a good option there. Bissouma will have to play but the drop-off is huge. Really fancied us when Conte said last week that all 3 would be back for this. Now feel this gives them the midfield.

Yeah it’s so frustrating. Benta was meant to be 3 weeks and we are still not even close to knowing when he’s going to be back. Ffs

Has there been one injury we've had in the last few years where someone hasnt taken longer than expected to come back?

Why not play 433
we're hardly great playing the current system.

Would love to mate, just unlikely to ever happen with Conte isn’t it.

Keep them out first 20 and the game is there to be won. Concede early and it’s back to what we’ve been used to over the past couple of months. Hoping the two clean sheets have got the conceding first bug out of our system.

Bentancur wouldn't have been to start anyway but really need him back soon. Ideally I'm time for the CL return as the fixtures start to build again.

Yeah. It’s an interesting one.

we can’t really go 3 5 2 with these fullbacks particularly after contes comments post United game. Maybe we could with Kulu at RWB? Could that work? Get sarr to just sit on partey with his long limbs and stop him controlling things.
Key for me is getting Kulu 1 on 1 or just in behind that space Zinchenko leaves.
Time for conte to earn his money, more than a weeks rest he has to come up with something.

We don’t have a LB fit to take care of Saka 1v1. We need the wingback formation to double up on Saka and Martinelli. I’m not really afraid of Nketiah despite his good form against poor sides. Those two are really dangerous though. In my opinion if we double up on those two defensively and have Bissouma man mark Odegaard we will go a long way to stopping them offensively

As expected, fs what a nightmare. He wont do it but id prefer 3 in the middle in that case PEH, Bissouma and Sarr.
not from the start, if they come at us Son comes squarely into the picture on the counter so we switch to three- and still more likely Skipp I reckon- when Kulu flags on 65.

I want us to win, but in all honesty I couldn't vote for that. Just so long as it isn't embarrassing I'll be happy.

Yet apparently we aren’t allowed to question our medical staff …

At least Paul agrees

I have no idea but if that is the case, it's another example of things being a bit 'too comfortable'.

Whilst you don't want to create an atmosphere where people are treated poorly or feel pressured all the time, I wonder if they have it a bit too easy?

For example, Guardiola challenged his medical team at Bayern as he was not happy with what was happening with the injuries - because he is a winner/perfectionist. The medical doctor quit.

Do we lack a winning mentality in regard to standards? I don't mean from Conte, I mean from the top?

It’s a NLD , form goes out the window.
On our day we can beat anyone.

Kulu and Bissouma back starting would be massive, Bentancur would the the icing on the cake.

Key is who scores first, in the past the NLD’s were like basketball games so who scored first didn’t matter that much but in recent games it’s usually led to that team going on to win fairly comfortably, first goal will be crucial, hopefully it’ll be Kane on his way to equalling and then beating our club record all against these gooner twats.

I think we all know the answer to that one ???

Paul has no first hand medical knowledge, nor does he have any real sources.

Does it feel like our players are out longer than they should be sometimes? Sure. But publicly implying it when you're someone Spurs fans 'trust' for news is poor form.

Managers should not be pressuring players to play through injuries earlier than they feel comfortable. Remember when Arteta pushed Partey onto the field while he was hurt against us?

Doctors are doctors for a reason. Supporters (and whatever insider status Paul O'Keefe thinks he has) shouldn't be calling into question the ability of medical professionals. No one knows what Bentancur's actual injury timeline is besides him and the medical staff.

I'd quit too if a football manager told me that he knew better than I did as a medical professional. It's a joke.

I want us to kick the shit out of em. But alas we will be chasing shadows I suspect. Not looking forward to our defence against their movement up front.

Harry brace, in the first 20mins, to put those tw@7s back in their place would be magic.

Completely agree. Two of my sisters are doctors and one used to work as an advisor to an NFL team. She was constantly under pressure to rush players back and there was a particular defensive coordinator who would simply walk up to the medical team and say “he’s gotta play Sunday/Monday… make sure it happens”.

One thing worth remembering is that the medical department have a fiduciary duty to the PLAYER and not the club.
