This will be one of the first times this season where we've had over a week to prepare for the game. Hopefully conte has been able to work with the players on the training ground.

We really can't afford to lose this, this place would be toxic.

We need to be on it like we were for the fixture last season and whatever we do, nullify their fast start.

At least get through the first 20 minutes without conceding.

Its my wedding anniversary on Sunday - lucky I have an understanding wife.

I always enter these games, home and away with a feeling of dread because losing to them is just so awful. no exaggeration to say having Kulu, Bentancur and Richardson available doubles our chances of winning, as does the mood of the crowd, which cannot be underestimated.

Just hope we don't gift them any goals the way we did at their place in September. Will be happy to get this one out of the way

We will likely not have a lot of the ball but unlike games against other teams at our place we cannot afford to allow the atmosphere to become tense / toxic and start booing etc.

This is one game where you simply have to stick with the players, they would have been working on a plan all week. We’ve seen what happened to the scum when us and Newcastle created a cauldron home atmosphere towards the end of last season causing them to fall apart.

I think City's result might have an impact on how our game plays out. If City win it puts a little more pressure on them - we should seek to exploit that and see how they deal with it. We got the rub last year (penalty and red card) I wonder what Sunday will bring - Kane 2 Woolwich 1?

Form can go out the window in these games, and we often up our game in NLDs.

2-1

They are obviously playing well, but they've had a lot of luck and the rub of the green this season.

Swap our injuries with their injuries, and I bet we'd only be a couple of points behind them, if that.

We can do them.

I'm not about to watch this one... gutted.! However, the last time I missed the NLD at our place, I was stuck in passport control at Heathrow on the 12th May 2022 and we all know how that ended :)

Chris Sutton doing our team talk...

"I know Harry Kane loves playing against Arsenal," said Sutton. "I also know he can break Greaves' record this weekend, but he won't.

"He won't score, and Tottenham won't score - Arsenal are going to wipe the floor with them."

Predicted 3-0 Goons. Gaz Coombes predicted 2-1 to us. (y)

I hope part of the plan he's been working on all week includes us not having a pivot midfield, being played around and through at will and leaving big spaces for the likes of Thomas Partey to exploit like he did at the Emirates.

If anyone on here is going on Sunday and likes to booo can I ask you to kindly shut the fuck up for at least this match please. The last thing we need are boos at half time because it’s 0-0 or we’re 0-1 down. Or piling in on 23 year old Emerson, who always tries his best for us. None of it will help us win the match. So please, do what you’re supposed to do and ‘support’ the team - pick them up in the bad moments and drive them on in the good moments. It really shouldn’t be that difficult to do.

Can almost guarantee Romero is going to crunch martinelli early , hope it's nothing bad:nailbiting:

Echoing the above though, really need the stadium behind the team.

100% agree. I can't say too much because I'm an American who has been over for one match (Leicester this year), although I had trips cancelled due to Covid breakouts, and didn't even know if this last one would happen due to the Queen's death.

I made sure to get tickets in the South Stand, stood the whole match, lost my voice singing and cheering the team on while someone by me lost their mind screaming for the team to be sold, Levy to be gone, Conte gone, I could literally see the veins popping out of this man's head because he was so angry to be down 2-1 at half. We ended up winning 6-2 and was an amazing atmosphere in that second half.

I get it, those that go home/away, poured life savings into this club, and watching our rivals leads to a negative mindset. But the one thing we can control is being an amazing supporter base - and that's what originally made me choose supporting Spurs over here. The TV camera would shake because of the noise in WHL and really hope the atmosphere keeps improving at the new stadium.

Let's smash them - I want to see Conte jump face first into the stands and crowd surf around the whole stadium

Was probably most confident I’d ever been when we played them last season. Just felt like right time, stars aligned etc
I’m full of dread for Sunday, think could be painful & can see lots of unrest in crowd
