Well Conte was right and I was wrong, humble apologies Antonio ?
But I still wouldn't want that team v Arsenal
So hope we can keep Bergwijn, looks a different player

Apologise for being wrong.

Then follow that by basically saying Conte will be wrong if he picks the same team against Arseanal.

Never change, SW, never change!

My wife said ‘oh dear’ when Newcastle scored but I said it’s what we needed to wake the team up. From then we went up three gears.
Not sure if it was the international break or not but I hope we start the rest of our games with attacking belief.

Kudos to Davies and Doherty today. Just goes to show the importance of goals coming from every player and every area of the pitch.
It also shows how good a coach Conte is.

In contrast, Rangnick, who is an excellent coach, hasn't taken any United player up a level since he's been there.

Pretty much, every single player we have has gone up a level, some 2 or 3.

The players themselves deserve credit for that but that will mostly be down to the coaching and clear direction Conte is giving them. Also, the attitude and standards he is setting.

I said a few weeks back, before the Leeds game, that top 4 and CL football may be too much for us next season as we still had so many issues. I felt that we'd need to buy too many players and we'd still need a big bedding in period.

However, Bentancur and Kulusevski have added such a dimension to our game that means we only need to add to these positions. If Bergwijn stays, I would trust him in a lot of league games, so we can rotate.

Then you have Doherty and Dier who have massively stepped up and we'd only need to add to them, starter ahead of Doherty, back up for Dier.

Basically, there's not as much work as I feared. We could actually start the same 11 next season and be bedding new players in and I think I'd be fine with that. By the time we are deep in CL, the new players would have bedded in and Conte would be able to have some rotation.

I think it was largely down to Newcastle being compact and disciplined. They played a good first half and whilst we weren't super sharp, I think we were probing but not throwing everything at them. Sometimes, it's better to do that.

We had it easier versus Everton cause they left gaps all over and we caught WH out well. But Newcastle were making us have to be more creative.

The good sign is we tweaked it and upped the level and we ended up steamrolling them.

We couldn't so that versus Wolves or Southampton so it shows we have grown

Also Conte has said numerous times that our players want to learn and have been amazingly receptive to everything they’ve been told. Can you imagine that Man U squad being like that? No fucking chance. Pogba, shaw, rashford, Ronaldo. Players like that with their shit attitudes aren’t going to listen to a manager.
