Been out having a few beers, so missed the game, only a preseason friendly so not important, but kept an eye on sky sports scores and after CE penalty they said lazy pen, as Trix says the heart is gone so let him go no matter if it’s United or whoever.
Done the job for us and time to move on, but we need to get the replacement in.

Eriksen needs to go, his heart ain’t in it, so easily dispossessed it’s unreal just extremely weak and uninterested!

Two of the laziest penalties you’ll ever see from Eriksen this week.

If you want to go, fine, and I know he has a pretty horizontal laid back style anyway but if you’re on the pitch wearing the shirt put some effort in.

(He could have just let someone else walk up to take one).
But now you’ve clearly made your point Christian, losing a ton of good will in the process, time to clear out your locker, just shut the door on your way out.

Also,Highlights Toby’s efforts for the club recently when things haven’t been going his way. Fair play to him.

Apparently the directors box was empty and levy wasn’t there. Hopefully he’s beavering away on transfer deals somewhere.

Edit: he’s in America ???

If someone could edit Daniel's face into Chuckie/LMFAO's "I'm in Miami Bitch", that'd be great.

you are obviously trolling but Its pre season AND we have played 3 games in less than 5 days.

Also some decent perfomances: sanchez, rose and lamela played good today. Winks and Lucas were okey as well.

Lamela has looked really lively and positive this preseason. Hoping and Looking forward to him really getting going this season.

It may turn out to be incredibly important if the cheque book doesn’t come out this week too!

Look at the biggest clubs in Europe who have money.

I can't see one taker from City, Liverpo
Winks wasn't at his very best but to suggest we never control games when he plays is a little hyperbolic, there's been plenty of examples.
I can't recall one against a good side.
49 goals and 60 assists from 206 appearances. I don’t really fancy those kind of stats rolling up at a rival for top four and the title. If he goes, it has to be abroad for those reasons alone, not including how bad it would look to lose him to another top 6 club.
Check out how many of those goals and assists came against good sides. It's laughable reading.

Yes, cracking an ill advised joke after the utter car crash this thread had turned into on the back of a 3rd game in 6 days of preseason, what was I thinking?

Next time I'll be sure to just stick to the facts of just how bad everything seems.

Sardonic won't work in here at the moment the pitchfork, scythe and flaming torch brigade are storming the gates.

Working on the singings that really matter no doubt.

Crystal, Desire and Jasmine all joining next week. Next seasons exec parties going to be off the hook.

You could copy and paste this into any one of the last several years pre seasons.

If we truly want to progress then we need to do more than hope Lamela somehow stays fit and then also becomes a different player to the one I’ve seen in the last 4/5 years ( even when fit).

Spot on mate you’ll never win with the Levy lovers even if Poch goes they’ll still say it’s Pochs faultand not Levy’s I dislike them as much as I do Levy their the sort of fans holding this football back from glory. Levy and his Brigade so negative through lack of ambition just happy to go with the flow top four and odd final. Levy and Lewis have held us back from glory so much over the last three transfer windows what might of been hey lads. Great effort Daniel keep the good work up no trophy for 11 for a club of our stature great son . COYS
Held us back from glory / completely rejuvenated the club and made it possible for us to raise our expectations of glory.

How do you really think we'd be doing had ENIC not bought the club in 2001? Personally, I think our best chance of a league title would have been the Championship / Div 1 following relegation. We certainly wouldn't have made it to a CL final, or even qualified in the first place.

Levy and Lewis might not be willing to pay crazy wages like some of our rivals do, but Pochettino is reportedly the 5th highest paid football manager in the world (only Barca, Real, Atletico & Man City pay their managers more) and we arguably have the best infrastructure (stadium & training) in world football. I'd say they are getting the priorities right!

I'm sure there are plenty of others around who can sort out the deal's plus levy will be on the other end of the line.

THE GOOD

  • Walker-Peters, allowing for potentially being caught for their goal (though what a pass and run) was very good. In tune defensively, very involved going forward and some nice moments of skill.
  • Every centre back, all four looked composed, solid, aware and up to speed.
  • Rose, just a constant dynamo in both directions. Currently I’m glad that he’s here for another year seemingly.
  • Ndombele, still not totally in time with the side but some great individual moments, plenty of determination and energy, and very calm in tight spots (sometimes too calm).
  • Lamela, particularly first half, was involved in everything, made the goal well, and was driving us forward. Seems to enjoy being in the middle.
  • Kane, looks sharp, skilful and fit.
  • Nkoudou, another lovely cameo and a confident penalty too. I’m genuinely perplexed as to how he’s not deemed good enough to be a sixth choice attacking midfielder.
  • Skipp, Parrott, White and Tanganga, all showing that they could well have a future (and for three of them, have an impact now).

THE BAD

  • Lucas, goal aside, flitted in and out and never really got involved in the match
  • The diamond formation, it just puts Kane nowhere near his most effective positions and starves us of any real width.
  • Two’s a company, three’s a crowd... Sissoko, Winks and Ndombele is a predictable midfield three, really we should only see two of these (in a pivot, or in a three with a more ‘visionary’ third midfielder).

THE UGLY

  • Eriksen, awful penalty aside, just looked so off the boil, no zip, poor passes and unable to get involved.

Also, where the flurk was Dele?

Least convincing pre-season match we've had. Decent first 10-15 mins, last 10 mins or so when all the kids and Nkoudou were on we saw a bit of exuberance and urgency, between that never got going.

Some concerns though as we start the season:

On what we've seen so far, I don't think Ndombele can start a match (especially in a cm2). I'm not sure he's got even 30 mins running in him as it is, let alone getting close to 90. This game he just nursed his way through it to do a full run out.

Eriksen doesn't look switched on, I'd have to agree with others. On a better note, Rose does. Toby does.

Skipp looks almost ready, no qualms with him being the 5th choice centre mid (even if currently that means he's up the pecking order with an injury or two). KWP is slowly growing in confidence, did switch off for the goal today but Sanchez/Jan also had faults for the goal, it happens with young defenders.

We need more from Kane though I have to say, people saying he looks sharp and fit well I'm not seeing it. If that's his level of work rate and press this season then I'm going to be criticising him game after game after game I'm afraid. Constantly the likes of Moura and Lamela are running past him to go close men down, and that just opens gaps up.

Only watched on a small screen, but we didn't keep the ball at all well & Inter at times had us scrambling to defend. There was a lack of quality on the ball with a mid-field 3 of Sissoko, N'Dombele & Winks & it didn't improve when Eriksen came on. CE really didn't look that confident when he went up for his Pen.

Need some quality in before Thurs, especially with the likes of Dele picking up injuries,
