L'equipe (one of the more reputable sports papers) say that Diarra is looking to leave Real in order to get more playing time before Euro 2012. They say Marca reckon that United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Juve and Fenerbahce are interested.

Edit - Just seen that L'equipe reckon that Altintop will "probably be Mourinho's next recruit."

I imagine we've got folders and folders full of scouting reports, the problem is that players enjoy playing in the Bundesliga, so stay at their clubs, or at least in Germany, until someone massive comes calling. A lot of players in the BL would much rather play for a German club than us IMO. It's also the league which draws the highest attendances on average I think.

Therefore, players like Ozil / Sahin etc. will stay in Germany until Real Madrid or Barca want them, and probably United or Chelsea.

You are correct sir. It really is a great league. My favourite and most watched league after the Prem.

How do the likes of RM and Barcelona pick up these players for peanuts?

It's not just the causes in their contracts.

If a player knows that such a big club (who'll offer huge wages) are interested he's liable to decide to move to that club and only that club.

We could suddenly put a bid in of £20m (disregarding the clause) but it wouldn't mean anything if all parties know that the player won't even consider the move. Effectively a real madrid or Barcelona offer can become the only one on the table.

It's how Arsenal manage to buy certain players for apparently reasonable prices. Who are they competing against? Did any bigger clubs want Sagna? Probably not and he'd probably not consider many other smaller ones... there's effectively little competition.

Someone like Bentley, on the other hand, would probably move to a range of clubs and they might be willing to outbid each other [when he signed for us, not now]. So his price is inflated.

We got Crouch for less than others were willing pay - same thing essentially.

Can I start the Alonso to Spurs rumours right now? Was possibly my favourite non-Spurs players when he was at Liverpool. Become a bit of a twat now at Real if the Clasico's are anything to go by, but still a superb DM, he's everything we want Hudd to be.

Don't think for a second that he'd come to a non-CL club but I can still hope!

Translated from L'equipe:

While Real Madrid is already active on the transfer market-Nuri Sahin is committed to the club merengue, Altintop should quickly follow suit-, major players could also leave the club this summer. Topping the list, the Brazilian Kaka, whose future does not seem to register in the Spanish capital. The player would be coveted by Chelsea. Index troubling, the mother of midfielder has even said on his twitter that his family would live in London next year: "Next season we'll be in London to preach the word of God. It will be in the month of August. "Only the English club would not only like to come to Kaka. Berlusconi, the president of AC Milan did not hide the interest of his club for a return of the Brazilian star. "Ricardo is an extraordinary man. If he decided to return to Milan, we welcome with open arms, "he said.

Furthermore, Juventus would engage the services of Karim Benzema, according to Italian and Spanish media reported that even a meeting between leaders of the two clubs on Thursday night in Madrid. But "no name footballer is released during this meeting," according to the leaders of the Real. Press Transalpine evokes an offer of 30 million euros which was refused by Florentino Perez. In addition, the Turin club is also interested in the other French Real Lassana Diarra. The player, by lack of playing time this season, seems determined to leave Madrid this summer. - Editorial

Thus further unsettling their squad.

If Ancelotti survives then I'd imagine he'd go there but what would that mean for Fat Frank? They also have to build the team around Torres next season to get the best out of him.

EDIT: Can we turn this into a Euro Transfers thread?

@laliga_news La Liga News

Porto have just bought another 40% of Hulk for 13.5m euros. Valuing him at 33.75m euros. It's either a statement of intent to keep him or they're going to sell him for about £40m.

I reckon that will happen as well. However, Robinho had an awful time in England and that might be in the back of Kaka's mind.

Also, can they really cram him Tevez and Silva in the same team?

If they buy Kaka they really are just playing Football Manager.
