OK then, the total should read "level" or 0, if there is no difference in points for the same matches.
i don't know how to do charts on here, the best i can do is what I have now done in the original thread, put a in heading and in brackets the result of the fixtures of the games we actually played on the game day last season
Well I think it is pretty straightforward to understand and am grateful for Lighty64 doing this. If others think it is confusing then maybe they should do their own comparison

Perhaps it would be easier to just do something like...
Match 3
Liverpool (h)
15/16: D 0-0
16/17: D 1-1
Pts comparison for same fixture: level
Pts comparison for same week: +3
15/16 Match: Leicester (a) 1-1
Total: 5pt
Current projection: 70pts
But then again, I ain't doing it, so I probably shouldn't be here spouting off what I think is the best way to do it...
Carry on sir!
Results spookily similar so far..
True, but our start last season was slow. In the equivalent games against those 4 clubs this season I would hope that we would pick more than 3 points.
updated
September 15/16 - 16/17- -/+ - (15/16 fixture in game order)
Sunderland (h) - W 4-1 - W 1-0 - level - (15/16 Sunderland 1-0 +5)
Total: 11pt
Current projection: 70pts
myself I would be even happier if we did better on 2 of the 3 after next Sunday, especially if we can match the important part of last season 3pts next Sunday.I'll be very happy if we carry on matching results after the game next Sunday!

after next Sunday the 3 games that followed we only got 4pts from, so hoping we can beat WBA in revenge for putting the main nail last season, especially as it was the only game I got too (though this 1 is away but same score), then hopefully match the Bournemouth result the following week, and definitely important to improve the week after as we lost to Leicester at home last season.
