Utd do their transfer business quick, with no messing about. We did that with Modric and I wish it could be like that all the time.

Perhaps someone with a more in depth knowledge of Italian football could enlighten me - Why/how do Juve get linked with big name players every transfer window? They haven't done anything of note for years??

Since they were demoted to Serie B and came back up the owners have promised to return them to the title challenging days. They have talked in the past few seasons about the stadium being the set back. Next season they move into the new stadium so that excuse won't be useable. They always have money to spend but previously it hasn't been all that.

I think they are linked alot on the promises of returning to the top really.

Ziegler about to complete a move to Juve, undergoing a medical.

L'equipe reporting via Corriere dello Sport that Tevez might end up at Juve as well.

Also plenty of people saying that Aquilani will be staying at Juve.

Malaga wants Santi Cazorla. They will offer 15M euros. It is said that they won't reject the deal.

We don't need that type of player but if this was FM I'd change my formation to fit him in at that price.

Me too but if the club won't reject it would be very surprising. They rumoured to be interested in Canales too.

Carzola is awesome but if ever there was a player not made for the EPL then it's probably him. He's got great technique with both feet but is lacking in pace. He could probably work in a team like Chelsea though who have lots of powerful players but not much technical ones.

Are Malaga owned by some rich Sheiks now too?

Suprised to have not heard anything from Racing Santander. I'm sure they had a massive buy-out by owners that wanted to make them able to challenge for the La Liga crown even!

Anyone that'd seen much of Ziegler in recent years... how far has he come along since his days at left-mid (us) and center-mid (Wigan). I know he now plays left-back (which is where I believe he played for Grasshoppers before we signed him), but I have literally nothing more.

Should we have been in for him, considering he went for nothing?

So maybe he'd be willing to spend 12 million on GDS

Well we can always hope they would be willing to part with this kind of sum for such a prospect  Glad to provide new information for you!

Ziegler hasn't had the best of times since he left us but there has been talk of the style of football played in Serie A suiting him due to his attacking want's and therefore at times lack of defending capabilities.
I think the move to Juve could do him wonders but we probably did the best thing by not getting involved for him again.

Anyway onto Transfers.

Benfica Chairman has revealed that it would take a bid of around / at least £26m to take Fabio Coentrao away from the club.
(More than likely rules us out for a move as his position isn't a must for us)

Roberto Martinez yesterday said that he would only sell Charles N'Zogbia to a CL club so to further his career. (Hope he generally meant clubs in Europe and not just top 4 etc as they are less likely to be after him)

According to the Atletico chief executive, Real do not want to sign Aguero.

Zinedine Zidane is the prime candidate to replace Jorge Valdano as general manager at Real Madrid.

As reported on the front page, Arsenal and Spurs have tabled bids of around £30m for Falcao.

Finally, Valencia have apparently opened talks with Lorient for striker Kevin Gameiro.

Mixture of sources and in general goal.com (Poor Source so take with a pinch of salt!)

What's everyone's thoughts on Fabio Coentrao? He's one of the few players in Europe who i've seen a bit of and he looks a top player.

Obviously a very unlikely option for us and at 20+ million, i think only the likes of Chelsea, City, Real etc. would be moving for him.

Real have Marcelo so I don't know why they would have any serious interest. He's been strongly linked with Bayern in the past.

Malaga's current transfer targets: Villarreal's Santi Cazorla, Marseille's Lucho González and van Nistelrooy. First signings expected soon.

redknapp watched osvaldo 4 times in last 6 months. know i am biased but dont see all the fuss. the bloke callejon that madrid got was better than osvaldo.

tevez said on live tv he wanted to go back to boca jrs but understands they may not be able to afford the transfer fee.
