Next monday we could have a squad containing Coentrao and Solado or one with neither and be minus a bale. It's Tottenham, you just never know.....
Great minds think alike and all that.
Madrid recently made a small payment so I think it is down to 12.million owed now for modders.
I'm convinced we'll spend this window.
A) incentives to keep Bale
B) AVB having a good first season
C) new tv deal giving us more money
D) new managers in 3/5 top 5 clubs might give us a chance to push
E) I'm a hopeless optimist
Just seen on the news, not only have spurs taken times square we now have a plinth in trafalgar square. So cheer up tiananmen square is next.
This is my concern...... Levy will be seen to spend money bringing players in, then sell Bale on the last day of the window.
Will then claim that he invested in the squad, but also needed to balance the books.
Obviously I hope this is just my imagination and won't become reality.
Agree, BUT - once window has slammed shut none of them can leave.... until JanuaryLevy would realise that doing that would cause a large percentage of the current squad to want to leave.
I don't believe for one second Bale wants to leave - ESPECIALLY to go abroad. This is all being stirred up by his agent that wants a slightly larger 20%.
Also he's keeping the only hairdressers in tottenham in business.
Like him as a person and can be a good player, but is also frustrating. Can we afford frustrating players if we want to challenge for trophies?
Relax the deals still on for soldado. I would expect an announcement today (gut feeling). Very humorous that they will sign postiga.
I have not seen the itk on coentrao but I will back it up. We havd a choice of players from real madrid. Coentrao, higuain, morata (as a loan)
The deal.is to offset the modric money nothing to do with bale. I have been banging on about this since last year. We sold modders on a ridiculously cheap deal stupidly cheap. Real will give us a player on the cheap to offset the money.
the special relationship is to do with bale also but it just gives them first option if we choose to sell.

SSN had a journo on yesterday morning and he was indeed adamant that Bale has no interest at all in moving abroad at the moment. In fact he said he was 100% certain he wouldn't join Real.

Same guy was on Talksport last night, (his name escapes me at the mo) saying exactly the same thing, he won`t be going abroad because of family reasons.
