Wrong.

6 Ledley King (Tot) 9.07

The best defender in the world comes in at 6 in a dead heat with Modric (ahead on 10's). Before John Terry's incident with Anton Ferdinand he'd previously been sent off saying something to Ledley. In Ferdinands case the motive is still unclear what happened. In the Ledley case it is clear cut, pure and utter embarrassment at the defensive lesson from ledders. Hero.

I demand a recount.

Top 5:

5. Aguero
4. Vidic
3. RVP
2. Rooney
1. Silva

No.

5 David Silvia ( Man C) 9.17

Shock? Your votes put Silvia at number 5. The mercurial Spaniard has been on fire this season but is not SC's number 1 player.

I am shocked by that. He is by far and away the best PL player at the moment. Rooney must be number 1 then

Most on form, although van persie has a fair argument for that. Unbelievably he got two 7's. I guess some people aren't convinced he is better than those other players. Maybe playing in such a good team plays against him, I don't know, I think he is quality.

Yep Rooney must be number one.

I'd like to change my vote for King from a 10 to a 20 please.

Bale is a lot lower then he should be as well. Silva should be first really really.

Good to see that we are aware that with Fabregas gone, Modric is the best central midfielder in the Premiership.

must be

Vidic
Rooney
Aguero
Van Persie

as the top four then.

which, by my estimations, makes SC's prem best 11:

----------------Hart--------------------
-------Kompany---Vidic-----King------
-----------Toure--Modric--------------
VDV-----------Aguero------------Silva
----------Rooney---RVP---------------

Had to play 3 at the back as there were no right backs near the top! Hence no Cole either due to lack of balance. If you were going positionally in a 4-4-2 then the top team would be

-----------------Hart---------------------
Sagna-----King--------Vidic----------Cole
VDV-------Modric---Yaya Toure----Silva
--------------RVP---Rooney------------

The sad thing is, I think the Barca team would beat both those squads...

With the pace and penetration offered by those full backs, I'm thinking diamond. The midfield would never lose the ball anyway.

Hart
Sagna Vidic King Cole
Toure
Silva Modric
Rooney
Aguero RVP
