4 Sergio Aguero (Man C) 9.19

He may not ever be as good as his father in law but he's obviously made an impression in his first few months to rank so high.

must be

Vidic
Rooney
Aguero
Van Persie

as the top four then.

which, by my estimations, makes SC's prem best 11:

----------------Hart--------------------
-------Kompany---Vidic-----King------
-----------Toure--Modric--------------
VDV-----------Aguero------------Silva
----------Rooney---RVP---------------

Had to play 3 at the back as there were no right backs near the top! Hence no Cole either due to lack of balance. If you were going positionally in a 4-4-2 then the top team would be

-----------------Hart---------------------
Sagna-----King--------Vidic----------Cole
VDV-------Modric---Yaya Toure----Silva
--------------RVP---Rooney------------

The sad thing is, I think the Barca team would beat both those squads...

i would alter slightly and play like this

----------------Hart--------------------
-------Kompany---Vidic-----King------
-----------Toure--Modric--------------
--Aguero-----Van Der Vaart-----Silva--
----------Rooney---RVP--------------

think that's a very false position for Aguero based on the fact he's only played 3 months in England, no doubt he's a very good player though but need to see it over the season

But the poll isn't 'who has proven themselves the most in the premiership', it's 'top 100 prem players' so based on how highly you rate them. Aguero could have been rated that highly without even kicking a ball in the Premiership.

Exactly. It's like saying Messi is only an 8 because he's never played in the Premiership.

I could only give Aguero an 8 'cause I've only seen snippets of him in La Liga, and whilst he's made a fantastic start for City, I need to see more. I think me giving Doyle an 8 was a typo too!

Football exists outside of the Premier League mate. We have seen Aguero play in La Liga and in the Champions' League, and know he is an outstanding player.

I think Vidic has a shot at being no1, as it sounds like a lot of people rated by position, in which case Vidic should have A LOT of 10s.

So it does, thank you

Would rate him an 8 personally , then again only 3 players in the world I'd rate 10/10 are Ronaldo, Messi and Sneijder

3 Nemanja Vidic (Man U) 9.19

According to SC, Vidic is the best defender in the league, coming out higher than the best defender in the world. United are certainly better when he plays.

So only Rooney and Van Persie left then

Would SC vote a gooner number 1 ?

No.

2 Robin Van Persie (Ars) 9.39

So no gooner at the top, but the top 2 are a distance ahead of everyone else in the list. Probably 2011's best player but his fragility holds him back from being truely recognised as a world star.

1 Wayne Rooney (Man U) 9.43

SC's numper 1 player in the Premiership looks like Shrek and sleeps with old ladies. Fortunately for him he also is probably the most complete player in the Premiership, good technique, strong, mobile, plenty of drive and plays in one of the best teams in the world unlike his closest rival for the title.

I can't say I agree that Rooney should be above the four players below him, but at that level it's really not that important as they're all top class.

I'm not sure. I'd probably say he should be below Van Persie, but I can see the argument for Van Persie being lower because his injuries keep him out a lot. At the level David Silva is playing now he'd be up there too, but last season he wasn't even close to how he is playing now. Is that because of the protection he has playing in a better team? Not sure.

Rooney is probably the most complete player of all of those even if he isn't bang at the top of his form like Silva and Van Persie. I don't think any of them would get close to the top of an all time Premiership list though.
