Seriously...

It's such a ridiculous shame that because of one incident, this guy is being totally overlooked. Compared to the continual disrespect that was Berbatov, what Ghaly did was like a flea on a cow's arse...

It's academic now as I'm sure the guy is far from match fit, but he has EXACTLY what we need right now. Big, strong, unafraid, can actually pass, chipped in with some decent assists/penalties won/the odd goal scored (in Turkey, at Chelski, etc)...seriously, what a fucking waste! the man who lost 4 teeth for the Tottenham cause and still played!!!!!!!

A waste I tell you, a waste of resources that WE'RE still partially paying for!!!

Tottenham manager Juande Ramos has told experienced squad members that they cannot use first-team training facilities because they are no longer part of his plans, according to a report.

The Daily Mail reports that Ramos' new regime has led to players who were part of Tottenham teams that twice finished fifth in the Premier League under Martin Jol being barred from the Chigwell training ground dressing room.

The players - including Ricardo Rocha, Kevin-Prince Boateng, Paul Stalteri, Adel Taarabt, Ben Alnwick and Hossam Ghaly - have been told they are unlikely to break back into the top squad and that they must train with the reserves until they find a new club.

These revelations come after Gus Poyet claimed that the club's two main strikers, Darren Bent and new signing Roman Pavlyuchenko, could not play together - because they are too similar in style - and only compound the confusion at White Hart Lane.

Following a poor start to the season, which has left Spurs lying at the bottom of the table with just two points from six games, Tottenham have attempted to deflect attention from the split within the current playing staff, saying it is a result of Ramos' "continental approach".

Pavlyuchenko is one player who has spoken about his confusion at White Hart Lane.

According to the Mirror, the Russian visited Ramos at home to ask him what he was doing wrong.

He said: "I asked him why I had been substituted. He said it wasn't because I hadn't been playing well enough, it was just a decision to change tactics.

"He told me not to bother my head with stuff like that."

Astounding. I heard about it before of course, but didn't have the full facts on this 'barred from first team dressing room' malarky...very, very bizarre!!!

That seems odd to me. Why would bar a player your paying from training. If for no other reason than you want to be able to sell them and this now informs anyone that they can be had for a pittance. And while KPB and Adel aren't that good, they are young. Why not try to teach them something. Is this a reporter taking a rumor and fiddling with it? Or is it just another reason we should be concerned with the admin of this club?

Could Ghaly and Boateng do anyworse in the middle then the current crop are?

probably, great to have strength in depth.

The report seems to contridict itself, experienced squad members and Taarabt and Boateng, surely they are young and inexperienced (atleast in this league) players.

Its a strange one is that report, not quite sure what to make of that, bit disrespectful to those players affected, as for Ghaly, I was just the other day thinking about that, the outcast of white hart lane returning and adding some much needed grit and force to our weak little midfield.

Without knowing ANYTHING solid about the Ramos/player close relationships...I would have serious doubts if Ramos treats our band of young hopefuls like this! Much that I hate to point it out...Ramos may be the problem...having taken a CC Winning team 2008 to the FOOT of the Premiership in a few short months! Perhaps we should get some perspective, either way COYS!

:)How do you know about that?

That joke is over 2 years old and the poster who said it (ForzaMido I believe) hasn't been on here since Mido left.

Didn't you just join recently? Did the Ghaly is on form post become known outside of SC?

I was thinking exactly the same the other day! Like everyone else I didn't like what he did against Blackburn last year but I think he has served his time & is exactly the type of player we need right now! Also he can't do much worse than the current lot "playing" for is at the mo & we still are paying his wages!

You have to question why six players who are no longer in our plans and with a combined resale value in excess of £10 million, are rotting in our reserves costing us around 50K in wages and depreciating in value.

its a joke. I have not seen a player at spurs with more natural talent and flair then Taarabt. Ok so his end product and team play is poor but isn't that why the club are paying Ramos 5m to try and fix

He looked well short of being the finished article, but considering our current situation I would have thought it foolish to write off primising young players like Mr. T. Maybe some fans (myself included) had a slightly romantic attachment to Taraabt and held on to the belief that he would develop into a really exciting world class talent. It would be nice to see him at least in with a shot sometime rather than sat waiting for the next bus out.
